OVERVIEW

Play a critical part in helping Aspen Group communicate the impact of our mission to create space for ministry impact by creating compelling video stories. This role is the lead producer of all video content and also plays a critical collaborative role on the innovative Marketing team to develop and strengthen overall brand strategy, stories, content, and tactics. At times, this role performs all video production responsibilities start-to-finish while other times, it’s working to produce the content with freelancers or internal team members.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As the lead video position within the company, creates compelling video content to be used in a variety of Marketing and Communications contexts such as website, social media, online resources, client presentations, conferences, live and online events, internal communications and more.
        • Plans and produces all video projects including scripts, storyboards, and more.
        • Understands and interprets project-related budgets and expenditures.
        • Plans and conducts interviews to generate meaningful and impactful stories about Aspen Group’s spaces and their impact on the client and their ministry, as well as about the value proposition Aspen brings and what it’s like to work with us.
        • Shoots and edits video, including sound engineering. For certain projects, hires freelance support.
        • Specifies, selects, and maintains video-related equipment and software.
        • At times, supports audio needs for projects like podcasting or audio interviews.
  • As a key Marketing team member, adds value to the Marketing team by participating in planning around strategies, story development, content, and tactics. As a Marketing team member, may execute occasional other non-video creative special projects. Serves internal clients promptly and with a customer-service oriented attitude and approach. Exhibits a visionary mindset.

Demonstrate knowledge and support of Aspen’s mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

Relevant Experience: Five years of multi-faceted video production experience. Demonstrated experience producing compelling story video from interviews and script outlines. Working knowledge of church culture leadership, ministry, and facilities is a plus. Live event and drone video production also a plus. Proficiency in current video equipment, software, and technologies required.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Video, or related field or equivalent experience.

Desired Skills: Demonstrates effectiveness in working in a team setting, communicating with others, and technical competence. Capable of carrying out independent assignments with minimal supervision. Adept at problem solving. Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.

Percentage of Travel Required: 15-25% ongoing; primarily to church projects around US and to various Aspen Group office locations.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

This position reports directly to the VP of Marketing and Business Development.
